Re:

I agree with some of what Sloppy says. Beancounters in slight agreement shock! Back to Sackcloth Ox's comment that we are all in this mess together, the only way I can see that tax increases / pay cuts working is for it to be on everyone, such as VAT and basic rate of income tax. That way it affect...

Well the emergency budget is what is going to hurt. The last budget was just pretend really, as if Gordo had done what was necessary he would have got whooped at the election by a huge conservative majority. Instead he has left Cameron and Clegg to try and rescue this country from its huge debt moun...

Why not train Woking-Waterloo, then Bakerloo line to Wembley Central (45 minutes on tube?) or better still Bakerloo line, change at Baker Street and then Metropolitan Line to Wembley Park (approx 25 minutes?)

The Jubilee line is very slow getting to Wembley Park anyway.

Re:

I think these fixtures on on sundays because the railway companies have extra available stock due to less regular services running. Therefore I expect there'll be extra capacity. The nearer you get to London the less seats will be available, however and I expect a fair few will have to stand. Also ...

Re:

They also stabbed a copper at Cambridge, tore the head off the Wimbledon mascot (okay, so that's funny), and had a mash-up at Kettering. I think a policeman cut his hand at Cambridge. Also remember Chappers taking out Harry the Hatter (Luton mascot) with a tackle from behind pre kick-off at Kenilwo...

assistant referee Michael Salisbury is from Lancashire so presumably on our side!
Carl Fitch is from Suffolk.

assistant referee Robert Madley from South Yorkshire.

We'll just have to beat them fair and square

So initial allocation is 37,500 Oxford fans and 21,000 York. £35 per ticket for level 1, level 2 £40, u-16s £15 (no concessions for students or OAPs apparently) Guessing an average price of say £32 x 58,500 with an allowance for VAT at 7/47 = £1.6MM. If Brahma Bull is right that ticket sales are 25:...

A tricky question. If a club gets into the Premiership it is going to have to pay a lot more in wages if it wants to stay there, and players are unlikely to want to sign a one year deal / pay cut for relegation. So the parachute payment seems a reasonable &quotreward&quot for the club's 1 ye...

In the statistics section, I would like to see attendance records for the &quotnew&quot ground. We are not going to beat the current &quottop 20 at home&quot in the current 3 sided stadium, but I would like to see a run-down of the top attendances. The question often pops up, and mos...

&quotEach home club retains their full gate receipts from the Play-Offs. In the final, 25% of the Gate Receipts is given to each club, the remaining 50% goes to the Conference and The Fa. The Conference divvy it up amongst all their member clubs.&quot is what Brahma Bull posted on tiu. Whic...

Re:

C) The Conference meeting at Wembley on Monday was to confirm the between the clubs and Conference how the share of all 4 clubs' play-off ticket sales would be divided. By that I assume you mean the income from them. No brainer surely. Each club keeps their home gate receipts but I bet the BSP take...

Just to annoy GY a bit more, the tickets (well the ones I collected at Nene Park) were printed up as OPPONENTS TBC, which means they were presumably available to give to the opposition last Saturday at 5pm. So there are even fewer excuses for not selling until Tuesday A) The ticket office were still...
