Re: Man of the match...

...Chris Tardif! WTF? He showed last night why Smith has been right to keep faith with Turley all season. I used to think we had the two best keepers in the Conference - now I'm not so sure. If Tards really wants to secure a move away from the club, last night will not have helped his cause. Are yo...

Re:

Let's hope it is a turning point for the team as well, surely they can't be that bad again? And for the management, I think before Monday the performances hadn't been as catastrophic, Smith said before that he &quotcould have made a case for winning 6 out of the 8 league games&quot. It may ...

Most interesting thing about that table is how well Rushden have done recently - I thought we made them look fantastic but maybe they are actually a decent team now and we took it for granted a bit that we should beat them. However, with Cambridge doing as badly as us recently Sat really is a must w...

Re:

I was hoping that I'd be able to share comment by now, but no, unfortunately I'm still lost for words. Can't quite believe what I witnessed last night. I can only conclude that there really is something of substance in the gypsy curse. No other possible explanation. It's the Monday night hoodoo - e...

Re:

I believe he also plays on the right side as a wingback. In for Anaclet I would suspect so Rose/Burgess/Hargreaves is the likely midfield on Monday IMO. The bigger question remains at the back. Quinn is a certainty as is Gilchrist if healthy. Does that only leave Gunn or a youth teamer for the 3rd ...

Well under Kassam we only just made a profit and that was through a lot of cost cutting. Now we have paid for the training ground, pay for overnight stays and the average attendance isn't going to be that much higher than last season. I would assume our wage bill has also increased since last season...

It always amazes me that as soon as things start going wrong on the pitch the chairman starts being blaimed as well. I'm actually quite happy with the resources provided in Jan, 3 players brought in all of a higher standard and on decent wages. The fact that none of them can play as a winger is up t...

Re: These boots are made for Woking

As everyone else is trying to be clever..... First question: Total Crowd. Anyone within 15% stays in. Anyone more than 15% out is eliminated. Then cascade. Result. Goals scored by Grebis. Goals scored by Woking. Goals scored by Oxford. Tie breaker: How many Oxford Shirts do I see in the pub I go in...

Re:

Yemi is our only player who can beat someone with skill - we'd not even be in the play-offs without him this season. Disagree - Burgess can too. The difference is that Yemi has pace and Burgess does not. I reckon most teams in this league have about the same number of players as we do who can &...

As Grebis was brought in to score goals it would help if we could have created one chance for him. He looks like he could link the play pretty well once he gets settled in and knows our very odd system. Turley couldn't seem to run without hopping yet he still managed to take all the goal kicks - ver...

Re: Grey boots

OK, most answers correct wins: Score. Number of points still behind Daggers after the game. Time of first goal (ie minutes of the match). How many subs will be used by both sides in total. Total of the squad numbers of the Oxford players who start the match. Tie breaker: Away attendance 1-0 Grays 3...

Re: Less is Morecambe Boot

Most right this week: Will Oxford win? Will Oxford score more than one goal? How many subs will Morecambe use? First player to be Subbed for Oxford (out for six weeks no doubt)? How many goals will Matthews (top scorer) get for Fever against Oxford Exiles in the morning? Tie breaker: Overall attend...

The comparisons to Kassam on specific actions are futile. Comparing spirit and motive, Kassam was, first and foremost, involved with the club for personal greed and gain. ' Ok so this is why Kassam was involved, he wanted to make some money. I thought Merry got involved becasue he loved Oxford and w...

I didn't expect this!

Interesting to hear Nick Merry say that he had approached another club before buying Oxford. And there I was thinking he brought Oxford because he loved the club, not because he wanted to own a football club. This transfer window should prove to be very interesting, we need to push on and get out of...
