Re: OxVox - Heritage Project Extension 'Stadium Signage'
I also note from the OxVox minutes that Firoka has originally turned down the signage, so not quite the paragon of virtue being ascribed to Kassam. http://www.oxvox.org.uk/pageContent.aspx?id=155 Excellent spot. We have had the signage turned down various times by different 'individuals' within the...

Re: OxVox - Heritage Project Extension 'Stadium Signage'
2 years ago!!! Really? Wow.
To be fair, this proposal had been live for some considerable time yet it was only when Firoz was presented with it recently, face-to-face, that 'he approved' it. Sorry for suggesting it was within the last six months Terry

Re: OxVox - Heritage Project Extension 'Stadium Signage'
Surely that depends on how much they contributed compared to the owner of the club, especially as they seem have made all the effort with the negotiations and arrangements to get the signs put up? And a big plus is also to try to restore some kind of relationship with the landlord, hate him or not....

Press statement in regard to OxVox's Heritage Extension Project This week will see some noticeable changes around the ground as we are pleased to announce that Oxford United Football Club crests are being installed on the outside of each stand. "And, according to Wiki, the average attendance in the MASL has varied between 656 and 1,349 over the last six years. Nowhere near the 10,000 to 12,000 claimed in the article"

Re: incoing players rumours
Stuart Beavon is 30, and many on here were saying Beano was too old at 29. Since he made the Football League, he has hardly set the world alight, Preston scoring only 10 goals in the one season for Preston despite playing 41 times, and 115 appearances scoring 28 goals at this level for Wycombe. Tho...

Re: Kick It Out
Just for the record I was trying to point out that the parents of Aaron Peak and Ben Peak would probably take great exception from the comparisons made by Jimski between Drink Driving and Racism. The discussion about Racism was then taken back to its roots of being an inherent social issue, which wa...

Re: Kick It Out
Drink driving is bad, no doubt about it, but it's nothing like the same kind of issue as racism, let's be honest. I guess the parents of the two young children who were killed on the M6 by Luke McCormick and his Range Rover, charged with death by dangerous driving and driving with excess alcohol, w...
Re: Tinkerman
Don't quite understand why we are being linked with Dave Winfield either.
Re: Tinkerman
As regards our squad, Lynn was dev squad and Davies probably on a low contract and presumably therefore on very small wages. Not enough to pay for even one replacement. Also Williams was heavily subsidised by Fulham. So 3 lost players (of which Williams was worth almost 2 players) which will pay fo...
Re: Tinkerman
You're starting to sound like an apologist for the current regime. Lewis actually achieved a far better set of results than Waddock did including winning the last game in charge which was some feat given all the factors you have mentioned. He effectivly released Beano by offering a one year deal, d...
