Dave Langan

Post by Bushy »

I have just read from another OUFC site that Dave Langan is releasing an autobiography possibly in September.

As he was and still is my ALL time favourite Oxford player I thought it would be nice to promote this on here as well. I hope he gets a real bonus from this and help him out of well documented problems he has endured in recent years.

Who knows a possible best seller :D

I am sure most of you probably know this as I am usually well behind the times but any additional info would be welcomed.

Agreed - I'd like to buy this but I would need a reminder when it comes out - perhaps the club could be encouraged to tell all fans about it - Martin, are you lurking?

Quick Update

Autobiography &quot Running Through Walls &quot out in September.
I think a book signing at Oxford has been arranged

Dave Langan had 13th knee operation last week. Out of hospital now , has said he's ' never known pain like it ', which when you consider what he's been through previously, must be extremely bad.

He is always happy to talk to fans about shared memories on Twitter. So if you haven't already taken the Twitter plunge ( it's quite easy even I managed it ), say hi to him. @DavyLangan

And for those of you who never saw him play , ask any older Yellows fans fans and i'm sure they'll confirm how good he was.

If any of you can spread the word, maybe on Facebook ( which I can't get my old head around ) that would be grand. Thanks Tom

PS
David is bowled over by the amount of support and good wishes he has had from OUFC fans. So modest, he is surprised people remember him, never mind hold him in such high regard !

Brilliant news, thank you.

I remember bumping into him whilst in Poole as a very young boy and being totally in ore of him. Even then he was shocked that somebody reconised him and that was only a couple of years after he left Oxford.
