According to reports 19 of the 30 clubs fielding reserve sides in the Combination have pulled their sides for the coming season.

This leaves Oxford playing in an Eastern division of just five clubs with Colchester, Stevenage, Luton &amp Southend.

So looks like we'll have to revert to arranging ad hoc friendlies as well, if the squad players are to get any game time at all.

I wonder if it is simply down to costs for the 19 teams pulling their reserve teams out?
