I expect that this spells the end of the beast which saddens me somewhat.[/url]
Besides this last month has proven that we can lose centre-backs two at a time quite easily. Given that Rhys Day is clearly not part of CW's plans, who's to say that Creighton can't still be accommodated?
Interested to hear what others have to say, but I'm of the opinion that the optimal number of centre backs in a squad is probably five, not four.

In talks with a blue sq. club, hopefully not Luton. I'll miss him. Even if this turns out to be progress on the pitch I can't help but being saddened by this dismantling of the promotion team.

Genuinely quite sad that Creighton's off. I'll admit to having a bit of a blind spot with him - he's been my favourite Oxford player almost from the moment he joined, and I'm probably quicker than most to overlook his failings.
But the fact is, he's a huge presence, a natural leader and - for me - was the signing which proved the catalyst for the promotion season. It's not just about how he plays - when Creighton's in the side, the players around him look more confident and more relaxed.
I genuinely think we'll miss the Beast, and I'm really disappointed he's going.
But, as Out Of The Gloom said on a thread earlier in the week, try to understand even if not agree. I guess if the combination of Futcher's experience and Worley's/Franks' potential is a better long-term bet, then we have to go with Wilder's judgement.
