A betting boot, we will assume that the currency of the anarcho-collectivist cyber state of Rage OnLine is known as a Boris.

Each entrant starts with 100 Boris's. Winner is poster with the most Boris's at the end. Bets to be in whole Boris's, entrants must bet in each of the categories.

Odds taken off the Blue Square website lunchtime today.

Result
Ox win 4/6, Draw 13/5, Kettering win 15/4.

Total Goals
0 or 1, 9/4, 2 or 3, 10/11, 4 or more 12/5.

Half time/Full time
Ox/Ox 13/8, Ox/Draw 14/1, Ox/Ket 33/1.
Draw/Ox 16/5, Draw/Draw 9/2, Draw/Ket 10/1.
Ket/Ox 25/1, Ket/Draw 14/1, Ket/Ket 9/1.

Tie Break :Total Crowd.

Doesn't the bookie always win in the long run?

80 Bs, Kettering win
10 Bs, 0-1
10 Bs, Draw-Kett

I know nothing of betting and such, so this is all just sticking a pin type stuff:

20 Bs Draw*
25 Bs 0 or 1
55 Bs Draw/Ox*

TB: 5432

*I'm aware of the contradiction between the first and third bet, but this is all about maximising the possibilities, innit.

Nice try!

I was tempted to give you some very difficult multiples to work out from the odds given, but given that you would almost certainly bottle it and say I hadn't betted on given odds, I'll bet:

Result:
1B on Kettering win

Total goals:
1B on 2 or 3 goals

Half time:
1B on draw/Ox

I'll keep my remaining 97B's for a better investment.

I make it Oxford James with a profit of 113 Boris's giving him a total fortune of 213.

No one else close.

OJ ends up with 203, not 213, and Geoff came reasonably close with 187, not that it changes the result, but accuracy is everything!! :wink:

He doesn't have a total of 213, as his last best is lost. He has a total of 193. Not that it probably makes a difference to the result.
30 bet on the draw at 13/5 = 78 B's winnings || 30 stake back = 108.

50 bet on 2 or 3 goals at 10/11 = 45 B's winnings || 50 stake back = 95.

108 || 95 = 203 so we're both wrong :oops:

However as you say doesn't effect the result.
