You missed off Simon Clist.

Hinchliffe is out of contract. Apparently the reason why he wasn't mentioned is that he was unable to get in to the club today and they didn't want to wait 24 hours before releasing the story. Ben will find out tomorrow if he's going to be offered a new contract or not.

I'd keep him but he could be on his way too.

If you've got Lewis Haldane on there shouldn't Craig Farrell get a mention? You did notice he was here, didn't you?

Thanks for that re Hinchcliffe- the details on him have been missing. I would guess that he would be off and Turley would be put under more pressure for his place.

What strikes me about this retained list in comparison with the 08 one is that it has much more balance - last year, we had umpteen defenders and no strikers at all. If Chapman is available for next year, the starting point is a pretty good midfield, most of a back line and one quality striker.

An indication that we've signed the Vics keeper perhaps?

An indication that we might be about to sign another keeper, that's all. We haven't signed one yet, otherwise it would have been announced. As for the Vics' keeper, so far all we have to go on is message board rumour (and I know how fond you are of them  ) but it could be anyone. Sorry to see Ben go, personally, I thought he had great promise, and that he'd done enough in the Senior Cup final to be given another chance.

This one wasn't wholly message board based though was it? I seem to recall some mentions about him waving to our fans and somthing else about a meeting with Wilder. OK, so I probably read all that on message boards.
