What exactly are the scenarios we don't need to focus on? And how does this analysis differ from that of any football team, regardless of what formation they play?

Also, given that we average 2.29 points per game when scoring first, and a quite shocking 0.22 ppg when conceding first, I'm not absolutely sure you've got those priorities the right way round...
