Does anyone know a site where I can view the final odds vs outcome on bets? It would be interesting to see how much money is waged on these bets by 'people in the know'.

In a separate question, I know it is illegal / against the rules of the game for players and staff involved in a match to bet on it, but are there any rules stoping, say, agents or managers betting on who will take over at a club?

In which case, I'd whack a huge amount on the latest fav for a job any time that bet comes up. No brained, surely?

Only bet on these if you are either the person getting the job, or the person giving it out.

Except that unless you can get odds from a backstreet bookie this is unlikely to work. When I bet on Martin Allen last week at 33/1 as soon as the market opened, I was only allowed to bet £10 and that was with a major bookie.

I think Betfair have stopped doing football manager markets, quite possibly at the advice of the Fraud Squad.

Laudrup going was no surprise. Like Wilder he left while the going was good and has an untarnished footballing reputation. Unlike Wilder's departure there is an infrastructure at the club he left that will keep calm and carry on.

Interesting turn in the odds today:
Beattie has now gone to favourite at 2s, with Lewis (4s) edging Keen (5s).
Robbie Fowler is also moving in as low as 6s with StanJames, just ahead of MArtin Allen
Tisdale and Boothroyd are drifting (10-12s) as are O'Driscoll and Nicky Law (18-20s) 25/1 Bar these

GArry Monk is odds on for Swansea, ahead of Hoddle at 4s and former Asst to MArtinez Graeme Jones at 5s. Brighton manager Oscar Garcia features for some reason, as does MArcelo Bielsa

O'Driscoll remains favourite for the Shrews at evens, with caretaker Mike Jackson at 2s, though PaddyPower have brought Saunders in to 6s - that should guarantee relegation!

The odds for Blackpool still contain Paul Hartley as second favourite at 6s, despite his appointment yesterday as Dundee manager, caretaker Barry Ferguson is massively odds on , with Coyle, Appleton and Lee Clark at a distance at 10-12/1.

FAs should have the authority to issue sanctions retrospectively to players who obviously feign injury or dive. A fine and a one-match ban would stop players doing it so much. Look like the mess is getting worse for Chico Flores. Just a couple of weeks earlier he threatened the club captain with a brick in training. Now the club captain has been promoted to be the manager it will be interesting to see if he’s picked on Saturday.

Exactly right - Carrol's arm was raised up, he span viciously leading with the elbow. To pretend that he was just regaining his balance and had no idea that Flores was there is laughable. The referee saw it and decided (in no small part helped by the fact that the players had been at each other before) that it was a deliberate attempt to strike another player. I expect his mind was made up well before Flores histrionics.

Flores was guilty of simulation, but since that's only a yellow card offence, there's no chance of retrospective action sadly. The FA could charge him with 'bringing the game into disrepute' but I think they reserve that for off-the-field offences; perhaps it's time to change that?

STanJames have Dave Penney at 16s, but are the only ones to even mention him....mind you they also have new Dundee manager Hartley in there as well.
