Post by Yellow-Robbo »

Jerome Sale has just said he expects Midfielder Mark Wilson to sign for OUFC.

Just what I was asking for in the previous Rendell post!!

2001–2005 Middlesbrough 16 (0)
2002–2003 &#8594 Stoke City (loan) 3 (0)
2003 &#8594 Swansea City (loan) 12 (2)
2003–2004 &#8594 Sheffield Wednesday (loan) 3 (0)
2004 &#8594 Doncaster Rovers (loan) 3 (0)
2004–2005 &#8594 Livingston (loan) 5 (0)
2005–2006 FC Dallas 20 (1)
2006– Doncaster Rovers 139 (3)
2008 &#8594 Tranmere Rovers (loan) 5 (0)

I thought that he was at Doncaster?

What happened from 2008 to now?

Presumably the 139 apps for Doncaster cover the whole period since 2006, what's that, about 30 apps a season average? Might dash off to Soccerbase to get the season by season update......

06/07 - 28 apps
07/08 - 34
08/09 - 24
09/10 - 38
10/11 - 29
11/12 - 4 || 6 at Walsall

These inlcude subs (as cannot be bothered trawling through each game) but are also at Champiosnship level, so good pedigree

&quotI went to the game at Burton on Sunday and thought they played really well in the second half,... &quot

I wonder how close he was to walking out at half time?

'Experienced midfield general' would be nice, maybe turning those 1-0 leads into 2-0 comfortable wins rather than 1-1 scrambled draws.

Although I'm not so sure about someone who puts so many misses into his career highlights video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgPDm9eELv8

OUFC trivia question: what does he have in common with Christophe Remy?

In Wilson's case, it was a rather worryingly long time ago. His team mates on those balmy European nights included Denis Irwin, Teddy Sheringham and Ole Solskjaer!

Still, not often we sign someone who's made several appearances in Man United's first team.

Although a shirt number of 33 suggests that those weren't made in crucial matches...

Still, good luck to the fella.
