Me and my wife and my kid spent a fab couple of hours at Minchery Farm this afternoon (yes, it takes that long to do the official shots) and I have dozens of photos of it all from my own camera, but I promised Chris Williams that I would not web them up until he cleared them.
It was interesting to see how much effort was involved with getting all the details just perfect. e.g. just when everything is lined up along come a couple of stewards ambling along the back of the South Stand and in the photo, or the balls not being in the exact position to show the logos. I was also really puzzled by the fact that the Wembley Play-Off Trophy was not put in the official photo, but was too shy and overawed by the occasion to ask why.
The whole club and team were fantastic about it all, and in particular I’d like to pass on my sincere thanks to Kelvin, Chris Wilder, Chris Williams, and Beano. Even though my boy is learning disabled (so he’s not as aware as the rest of us who are fortunate to be born normal) he really got the just of how big an event it was for him.
An Oxford Mail journo did an interview with him (tricky, obviously) but I do hope that they add my comments about the financial and symbiotic relationship the voluntary work that the 12th Man Committee put into Oxford United. i.e. It’s not just about the money, it’s also about bringing the fans closer to the corporate structure of the club. However, I did talk to Mark Edwards of Newsquest regarding the recent changes they have made to TiU so I’m not overly optimistic of getting that message across in print in the next day or so.

As for the game, then I’ve seen better part-time Conference Clubs than the team that Manchester United trotted out tonight, and I’m sure we’ll get a sterner test against Mike Ford’s XI at Court Place Farm.

He did indeed, but I have to admit he was a tad disappointed when he found the enclosed url on the net and could not see himself in the official team picture. He asked me why, but I was unable to tell him as I didn’t know why myself - so I've sent an email to Trevor and I'm sure I'll be able to let him know very soon."rambler" wrote:Glad your boy enjoyed the event snake.

James Constable looks to be with him also ?
At one point the camera cuts away and a youngish lad is stood with Beano by the tunnel - could be Joshua ?
There is a brief bit of video with the 12th Man in the team pic.
