It's going to be a bit pixelly I'm guessing.

I'll take a look into Double Layer discs and see if that's a solution.

I've got a 42&quot one so any solution you can find for that sounds good to me - I want to enjoy it in it's full screen glory if possible!

Payments details and donation to 12th man sound good to me, will pm you shortly.

OK I've created a few DVD||R DL copies now and I've managed to record 2' 56&quot in XP mode which means you lose the last few seconds of the closing credits but the quality is soooooo much better.

Just a word about Double Layering.

http&#58//en&#46wikipedia&#46org/wiki/DVD%2BR_DL

The key things I wanted to point out are :-

&quotDiscs can be read in many DVD devices (older units are less compatible)&quot

&quotThe layer change can exhibit a noticeable pause in some DVD players, up to several seconds.[2] This caused more than just a few viewers to worry that their dual-layer discs were damaged or defective, with the end result that studios began listing a standard message explaining the dual-layer pausing effect on all dual-layer disc packaging.&quot

[2] ^ If you're interested you'll have to read the (long and tedious) citation from the Wiki page, it's too long to work here.

I now need to try and find a cheap supply of these discs as buying them from Rymans is a bit steep.

Or I could play around with DVD shrink and see if I can get it onto a normal DVD-R.

Have you tried an order with Amazon?

A word of advice from my friend who is a TV and video production man - it's a bit of a dark art recording to DVD, so it's worth buying the better branded disks, or you can end up with a lot of frisbees. Ridisc are pretty good.

As luck would have it we are moving offices today so there's not much work going on and so I'm taking the opportunity to try and get the whole thing onto a DVD-R, it'll be a couple of hours before we get anything but at least I'll be able to test it out on our plasma.

Hog,

I tried to PM you about the RadOx CDs but I'm not sure if its sent or not as the message seems to be stuck in the 'outbox' and not moving to the 'sentbox'. Personally, I blame Admin.

PM me (if you can get it to work) with your address (I've got it somewhere in relation to Dreamers League but am too lazy to seek it out!).

Cheers.

Hmm, 25 years spent as a technician in the computer industry and this thread makes me realise why it was a good time to get out when I did a couple of years ago.

FFS, why can’t the club just make some kind of announcement along the lines of “Wembley DVD available soon

You're right. a lot of time wasted on trying to rip the thing. copying from the recorder is the only way to go at the moment and that is time consuming.

I was up country again this weekend so no further progress since Thursday last week, however, I did take one of the copies I've burnt already and I've got to say that I was mightily impressed with it. There was a pause of about 30 seconds during the half time adverts but apart from that the DVD was excellent, it started dead on the start of the program and it finished with the very final frame of the programme showing the year of production etc. I thought the quality was excellent and I'm certainly happy to distribute them.

I think I've got 4 ready to go and I can probably produce 4 a day at top whack but I need to get hold of some cheaper DL discs, I'll spend a bit of time today surfing for them, but £12 for 5 is too steep in my mind.

I'll find out today how much the postage is going to be and I'll try and work out a fair price for them and post it up here.

Once everyone is happy with the price, donation to 12th man, ethics of the operation bearing in mind that the club will almost certainly produce their own copy (thank GY for that) and the fact that I will not be offering any after sales service of any kind (because technically I'm not selling them) then I will start shipping.

That's the disks sorted - ebay - £16 for 50 - bargain.

Now envelopes, plastic cases and postage.
