Interesting apology on the official site from CW.

I thought &quotPoxy League&quot was an ill-judged comment at the time. Most of the other teams and their fans in this poxy league don't like us anyway - this is hardly going to win friends and influence people.

It's also more than likely to bring a disrepute charge from Lee Towers. Although how the conference could be made to appear more disreputable is hard to imagine just now.

Perhaps he was misheard and really said this epoxy league (because it's very sticky and hard to get out of).

CW seems to have taken lessons in the Brian Lee school of apologies.
&quotIt was the wrong thing to say&quot
He doesn't actually say that the statement was wrong, just that he shouldn't have said it.

They'd have to be really insecure to feel the need to punish him for the word poxy! I had to smile when I read the apology as the only people he doesn't include are the administrators

Looks like a genuine apology to me.

A wholly unnecessary one to boot - especially when you consider the disgraceful bile that regularly spews out of the snaggle-toothed mouth of one Mr Steven Evans.

But perhaps two wrongs don't make a right.
