Having finally watched this on the BBC website, a couple of things of interest come to mind -
i) The system appears safe for now, even if the manager doesn't seem particularly favourable, as Merry described YD as being "Key to the future" and "to not have it would be a dead end".
ii) More interestingly perhaps he commented that he saw the current youth squad containing "three or four who are going to be big players for the club in the future" - hopefully he enough pressure from NM downwards can be applied to ensure we keep hold of these future "big players"
iii) Finally, the report also had an interview with Steve Basham, who was at the final youth game vrs Swansea. That did make me wonder whether we might see him still at the club next season but in a non-playing capacity?
