Would be starting to look like a reasonable pre-season if it wasn't for the completely pointless USA &quottour&quot.

I wonder if the WHU game might allow us to extrapolate that Rob Hall could be making his way to us.

I think it more likely that the WHU fixture is a way of compensating us for recalling Hall from his loan rather than an indication that he will be joining us.

No disrespect meant to Eastleigh and City, but I'm surprised that our last &quotcompetitive&quot friendly is two weeks before the season starts.

Aylesbury think we are playing them in a friendly on Wednesday. Has anyone told the club?

Not seen this announced. I wonder if it is an OUFC youth team.

i assume that and the aylesbury games will be oxford united 'XI's rather than the first team or youth team specifically.

The Thame United match was announced on the official site a couple of weeks ago.

The Aylesbury match has never been announced.

Bucks Herald now reporting that the Aylesbury game is off due to the wet weather and risk of cutting the pitch up.

Was this game ever really on?!?

Bath City were due to host Crystal Palace on Friday. Palace pulled out of their training camp at Exeter due to the weather, returned to London, and then arranged a friendly against Lewes for the same date, whom they had coincidentally signed a player from in March.

I did raise a small smile when I read that Chappie wasn't able to join the squad in the US owing to &quotvisa problems&quot. Presumably, the problem being that he wouldn't be able to get a visa as a result of his criminal record.

:S Why did that make you &quotraise a smile&quot?

Given that Davis is having another op today, Mcginty hasn't travelled, neither has youth prospect David Lynn, and Capaldi is bound to get injured soon - who is going to play left back in the final friendly?
