Re: Beano to Luton?
This has been hanging around for weeks. As far as I know they made an inquiry and we told them no. But that, combined with his illness (Beano left out he must be on his way) and the general air of panic amongst the supporters has kept it around."A-Ro" wrote:What's that all about?

I have to say I'm not hugely re-assured by the quotes attributed to KT in this piece on the BBC website
"I think we're ok with Beano"
"You never say never in this game"
Hardly 'Beano's going nowhere', is it?

Re:
But if someone does come in with "serious money", assuming it is not Crawley, would we fight Constable leaving to play at a higher level? There is a huge difference between Beano wanting to leave for the wrong reasons (arrogance that the club is not good enough for him, etc) and for the right reasons (he has the chance to play at a higher level, etc). Recall the situation with Matt Elliott before he left for Leicester, where it reportedly got to the point where he would refuse to play for us if we did not let him go. And if nobody came in for Beano with a credible offer, presumably he would stay, play and remain Captain."Kernow Yellow" wrote:I have to say I'm not hugely re-assured by the quotes attributed to KT in this piece on the BBC website

I think it puts the 'going on loan to a shithole' rumours to bed though."Kernow Yellow" wrote:I have to say I'm not hugely re-assured by the quotes attributed to KT in this piece on the BBC website

Seems to me that Kelvin is saying that if Beano does go then it will be a sale for an adequate amount of money. Which, I imagine, goes for any player at any club anywhere in the world as everyone has a price!

Not sure that Plymouth would be able to afford the wages let alone any fee on the basis that they are fighting off a winding up order."SmileyMan" wrote:Beano's been giving it large with comments about how well he works with MacLean. Angling for a move to Argyle, perhaps?

beano sale
wonder if perhaps kt and united want perhaps to get fans used to the idea of beano being sold so that if an offer comes in that is to good to turn down he will be sold
