We get a mention in all these stories, but only the first has a report of sorts.
Daily Telegraph - John Ley
Norwich Advertiser - David Cuffley. Fergie's first win.
International Business Times -Chandrashekar Srinivasan

I was at the Manor for that 2-0 win over Manchester Utd
in November 1986. I was a pretty straightforward home win
and the Red's did not really pose a threat.

Talking of Norwich City and that Norwich article - Oxford went to a foggy Carrow Road just a couple of weeks after that victory
and lost 2-1.The Ashes down under were also about to start!

If we were to recreate that cover photo featuring some of the recent random loanees, a match ball would also feature somewhere on the left-hand side.

Was the old First Division really sponsored by the Today newspaper? I'd forgotten that.

I too was wondering about the odd use of 'Today' in quotes until it clicked!

Moyes now confirmed as off from Everton.

The Blades have drawn up a seven-strong shortlist. Only confirmed name is the caretaker manager Chris Morgan. 20 applications of 'sufficient quality' apparently.

Not yet he isn't. The Everton / Man Utd switch doesn't happen til 1st July, does it? Anything could happen between now and then. We might even sign a player...

1, 3 and now 11 have gone in the last few days - Mancini must be gutted he got sacked before he made the top ten!

Karl Robinson, who celebrated three years last Friday, will now move up to 11th on the list, while Jim Bentley and Martin Allen, who have reached two years today, er yesterday, will move up to joint 18th, while Big Sam (2 years on 1 June) will move into the top 20. Brendan Rogers, who will celebrate 12 months on the same day, will be up to 33rd (and according to the BBC, could be 5th longest serving premier manager!)

Wilder now 4th (SAF/Moyes aside), with very real chances that Martinez (6th), Poyet(7th) &amp Robinson (10th) could all move on any day. Only 31 of the 92 clubs now have managers who have been in place for over a year....

Fair play to Edgar Davids, who has decided to stay on at Barnet - who, five years ago, would have put money on him being a Conference manager?

Come next season: Edgar Davids (Dec12) and Andy Scott (Feb13) will fall off from the lower reaches of the list, to be replaced by Paul cox at Mansfield (who celebrated two years in post on Sunday) who jumps in to 19th place ahead of Big Sam, and Justin Edinburgh at Newport (Oct11) who takes 25th spot on the list...

The managers of the other three playoffs teams would also have gone straight into the top 25:
Steve Burr (Kidderminster) Jan10 - 9th,
Rob Scott (Grimsby) Mar11 - 17th
Andy Morrell (Wrexham) Sep11 - 24th

Surely a message there somewhere...
