Re:
This will be only my 2nd OUFC game against top flight opposition, the first being my very first game just over 18 years ago, at Aston Villa, also in the 2nd round of the League Cup, (2nd leg 7 October 1992). So here's a question - How many times have Oxford United played top flight opposition in a ...

Re: West Ham eh?
Good stuff and I think we'll take a sizeable number. It's nice being back in the league isn't it? Some clowns on the yellows forum think we'll take 4,000 - 5,000 to this game. 2,000 would be great. We took almost that to Burton. I'd expect well over 3000 but it may depend on how many tickets they g...

I see - I thought that you found American football amusing which it can be sometimes but there's a lot we can learn from them about their enthusiasm, organisation and professionalism at all levels of the game."recordmeister" wrote:Funny peculiar not funny "ha ha".

Re:
I'm no expert, having not been arrested in a while (unlike the saintly GY I still remember being young and accidentally ending up in the wrong place at the wrong time) But don't you have to be charged in order to be released on bail? Otherwise, it's just released. Presumably we can infer from that,...

Presumably it means that a seeded team is drawn to play against a non seeded team and then they must draw for home or away in some way. If we seriously want to progress then of the seeded teams anybody at home would do for me (Fortress KasStad) or I would give us a chance against Hull, Portsmouth, L...

Will we see a Conference display from Bury (2 games, 2 losses so far so) on Saturday? I fear we could see XI men behind the ball for 90 mins following on from last nights result. But now when the opposition "park the bus" infront of the goal it looks like we've got a player (Heslop)...

Just checked the rule for first Premiership manager to leave his job ... "after the start of the season". phew! ... "after the start of their season" would satisfy the pedants. However the actual rules state: 3 points for the first Premier League manager to leave his...

As we all know our fan base is very large compared to our league position and I think the number of individual people who see Oxford play at least once a season is as others have said somewhere in the region of 15 to 20 thousand (apart from Wembley of course). Based on this the best way for the club...

Re:
If this was the case, would the libel case be between Potter and the paper, or OUFC and the paper? Potter, if it was him, couldn't sue because all the paper has said is that a 'footballer' was arrested, and the police quote adds that he is 21. So that doesn't risk identifying Potter or anybody else...
