Re: Fans forum

Well I suggest you withdraw it or delete it pronto unless you want to contest a libel writ... And whoever moderates the board these days should do it to protect themselves.

Re: Wow

Does anyone know how long is left on OUFC's Kasstad license? And what's the situation with our current training ground/facilities? How long are we there for and does anyone have an idea how much we pay per year? I'm starting to wonder if Water Eaton could come on stream sooner as a development if we...

Re: OUFC Accounts 2012

Actually JoeysToe, Kassam selling the club without the ground wasn't what I was talking about. And you can just as much blame IL/WP for not buying both together instead of taking just the one. I said as much at the time, so your 'I told you so' doesn't really stand... I was talking about the move to...

Re: OUFC Accounts 2012

These results are just awful. No wonder KT was sacked. As others have said this is completely unsustainable, and I see one or a combination of these scenarios happening: * IL puts a strict spending limit on a new manager. Seeing us operate purely within budget for the foreseeable future. The choice ...

Re: Doing the right thing ...

That's a very good post Neil re: Wilder. If I was Lenagan I'd sit CW down and say your contract is being terminated and you'll get whatever penalty clauses due to you, but if you want us to announce it as being your decision to resign rather than being sacked, then fine. He can then go out as you sa...

Re: Wilder Out?

For me, all things being equal, I'd like either Tisdale or Micky Adams should CW leave. I know they're both currently engaged but worth a punt and an investment. I don't think we should underestimate how attractive we are as a proposition at this level.

Re: Chelten-numb

I tend to agree with your analysis Myles, but there's just one problem. IL has decided to let it get to the point where CW's contract is up at the end of the season and he's pointedly refusing to give him a new one right now. Makes sense on one simple level, but it's actually simply making fertile g...

Didnt Joey play on the wrong wing? He did much of the time and I thought that was when he was at his best. From memory he played on the right wing for almost all of his first spell (Chris Allen on opposite flank). Then when he came back and we got promoted didn't he play on the left as Stuart Masse...

I agree with you on the whole GY, but it should be fairly obvious that Wilder doesn't rate Constable enough to take us forward and they're keen to get rid for the best price possible. KT can hardly come out and say that without disrupting the player/annoying the fans/strangling any bargaining power ...

Well it's bleedin' obvious, and has been pointed out on here that Wilder wants to get some decent money, get shot of him and as he says, move on. Here's what my source (an ex OUFC employee) has told me tonight what he's heard: Beano will be gone before the window shuts. There is another (higher) clu...

Bobby Ford's goal against Southampton at the Dell in the League cup. They scored, we kicked off, passed the ball to Bobby in the centre circle, who proceeded to beat 3/4 players and then from 30ish yards out curled it into the top corner. It was so soon after the Saints goal, the TV cameraman comple...

Wish I'd been there (was best man at a wedding, so maybe that comes first!) Having seen it on telly, totaly agree with what everyone says, though I still think Bobby Ford's goal away at Southampton in the League Cup is my fave having seen in person! Leven is a hell of a player. How the hell did we g...

It's not quite as simple as 'if you pay for it you get the copyright.'. Even when commissioned the copyright only passes to another entity from a designer if they assign it (ie in writing as part of a contract). The act of payment isn't enough (certainly post the 1988 act, and i think pre). So in th...

Did you know that Glenn Mulcaire, infamous News of the Screws private investigator jailed for and at the centre of the recent phone hacking scandal, scored AFC Wimbledon's first goal when they formed 9 or so years ago?

FACT!
