It didn't take Rushden long to appoint Garry Hill as their new manager.

I think their supporters trust should be asking if the board went through a proper recruitment process to ensure they appointed the best candidate.

I should think that anyone who appoints Garry Hill as manager of a Conference Club can be pretty sure they chose the best candidate.

Not anymore, the Trust had a vote a few weeks ago and handed control of the club to Keith Cousins.

Of course, Mr Westley has an immpecable record regarding loyalty, as any fan of Farnborough will tell you.

I've decided not to shed any tears for him.
