Well the rumour going round today is that L1 and L2 will be finalised using the rugby weighted points per game method, which I think takes the average of home points gained and away points gained, to reflect that teams generally get more points at home, and therefore a total PPG unfairly favours teams who have played more home games than others.
All sorts of arguments about whether this is fair or not. What about the teams who picked up an easy three points against Bolton early in the season? What about teams who were on a good run of current form? Difficulty of the remaning fixtures?
If this method gets the vote, this leaves us in third and up to the Championship. When will the season start, and when will fans be allowed to go to games though? (or rather when is it safe to go to games?)
