Anyone else remember Anthony / Tony Wright, who we had as a youngster for a few seasons in the late 90s? I recall him being a creative, exciting central midfielder who didn't really fit with our blood-and-thunder, hit-the-channels / get-it-straight-to-the-big-man style so he got released and faded away.

Anyway, he's now managing Swansea's U21s (he was a Welsh lad who came over to Oxford as I remember it) and doing quite well. Sweetly, his LinkedIn header pic is him in front of the Beech Road Stand as a player with Fordy(?).

That looks like Dean Saunders to me, which would make sense from a Welsh perspective, but their OUFC careers could only have overlapped while Anthony Wright was in the youth team.

Yes, quite right. At the time Wright was playing for us, Saunders was with Forest and with Sheffield United, both of whom would have visited the Manor so maybe the young lad just wanted a pic with one of his national heroes!
