Re: Hodgy
I'm pretty sure it was announced that we will have 2 goalkeeping coaches with both Hodgy and Brown. I imagine Hodgy will want to start to slow down sooner rather than later and Brown's appointment is probably the start of that process."Hog" wrote:Have I missed his retirement?
A couple of the videos from the US both mention Brown being the new goalkeeping coach - had Hodgy called it a day (or was he pushed?)
Re: Hodgy
Two goalkeeping coaches but no specialist coach for our forwards. I know goalkeeping is a specialist position but scoring goals is quite important too and I don't think we've got too much of an idea in that department at times."GodalmingYellow" wrote:I'm pretty sure it was announced that we will have 2 goalkeeping coaches with both Hodgy and Brown. Re: Hodgy
Agreed. Wilder, Melville and Mad Dog all defensively minded players. Up front coach would be money well spent methinks."Baboo" wrote:Two goalkeeping coaches but no specialist coach for our forwards. Re: Hodgy
An attacking coach ?
Have we EVER had one ?
Denis Smith was a rock solid centre half and Malcolm Crosby was a defensive
midfielder but we were attractive to watch going forward. Brian Horton was
also an anchor man in midfield. Jim Smith was also a defender.
David Kemp on the other hand was a prolific goal scorer for Portsmouth
and Plymouth!
It's a red herring for me.

No....it was only announced today!"Hog" wrote:Have I missed his retirement?
Will Brown continue playing/be happy to sit on the bench each Saturday, or will he take more of a backroom role, opening things up for Max Crocombe to be #2?
Wonder whether Mr Turley will ever return to help/replace Mr Brown once he finishes at Banbury?

Once he's finished what in Banbury?"Mooro" wrote:No....it was only announced today!"Hog" wrote:Have I missed his retirement?

I thought Turley was at Brackley? Not that that would stop him eating cakes...
Re: Hodgy
I've never met Hodgy's wife but is she as big as Chris Williams suggests?
