Anyone watch it? And the one name you didn't want to hear, popped up:
Oxford United.
Had to watch 58 mins of it to get to us, but it was there.

Watched it with the usual combination of interest and detachment which these exposes of football 'business' tend to throw up.
Boasty Thai businessman, washed up ex-manager and a bloke from the FL who admitted that they had no idea who really owned most clubs in the Championship.....
Plus, Barnsley Town FC?

We were mentioned right at the start too.
But the dodgy business model was buy championship team for a few million. Get them into the Premiership and sell out for £100m - £150m within about 3 years. Perhaps someone confused us with someone else.
Brian Robson didn't cover himself in glory and if Channel 4 were to get rights to the Premiership any time soon Sir Alex wouldn't be speaking to them.

99% guaranteed to be the basis of the Thai takeover backed by a big name rumour that's been doing the rounds for a few months.

Why would they pick a club as small as us for this kind of scam?

They talk about a £15m initial investment but that would only leave £2m for players after the stadium is bought, hardly enough to get into the Championship, let along the Premiership.

IL : Did you see that on the telly?
KT : See what? Has big something happened with ‘phone hacking recently? Sorry to be a bit out of touch as I’m stuck here in America right now, but I have been tweeting on our games and trying to keep the supporter base happy, like you told me to do.

So Mr Lenagan, remind me, who are the actual beneficiaries of the trust that owns WPL?

IL : The story was apparently on the whole of the back page of the local Oxford newspaper today and the headline referred to you as chief. Do you want to comment on that?
KT : Sorry Ian. I’ve not seen the paper yet so I really can’t comment. But if it helps to explain things then the Mail did say not so long ago that Mark Sennet was the fans’ chief when they asked him about the views of OxVox on the A420 stuff.
IL : Well, the next time you talk to the media could you please tell them who is really in charge. And by the way, what's the A420? It sounds like the name of a road.
