The club website suggest that 2500 STs have been sold already.

With around 4,000 sold last season it is likely that this number may be bettered giving the club hopefully enough visibility and funds to compete even better next season.

I tend to get the view that this could be a fantastic opportunity for the club. If we were to go up next season crowds woudl inevitably move up to the next level and the buying of the ground/ buildign of the 4th side could start to become viable.

Imporant that the momentum is continued and we improve again next season on the pitch ...

I'm surprised it's not more than that.

The final figure was over 2700 at the end of the early bird deadline. Someone on YF said we had sold 1400 at the same point last year. There is speculation that the attraction o watching a certain team who look certain to be relegated may be a factor. It may also be that ST holders are getting used to buying early to get the discount.

Possibly, but I also think there are many who leave it to the last minute to renew because they never get round to it and possibly also have the attitude that the money all goes to the clubs so don't worry too much about the discount.

Last year there was also the gamble of not knowing what league we would be in when the early bird offer came out - and potentially the risk that if we hadn't gone up, that the plug may have been pulled and the season ticket money all lost.

The 4,000 final figure for 2010/11 I think included half-season and Lucky 7 tickets as well.

Thats what I do. If the club were specifically stating that the money was urgently needed to cover cash flow over the summer then I would get of my arse and pay early. But as it stands I'm not fussed about the discount and just can't really be bothered to do it.
