The 'while we're on a high' 2010-11 Prediction Poll

OK, nice and easy - give your prediction for how well we'll do in Division 4 next season, before we hear about summer transfers etc.

We're going up as fucking champions! (Although I'm not so confident that I'm prepared to cast my vote that way.)

I like this 'Winning at Wembley' feeling.

Let's do it again.

If we can carry over the positive atmosphere and ensure the retention of some key players (Wright, Potter etc) I really can't see us finishing bottom half, and certainly nowhere near the relegation zone. A good start and top 7 - and therefore promotion or play-offs - is a strong possibility.

Wish it was starting tomorrow

We should be able to aim for the top 8 or so with a chance of getting into the playoffs....BUT .........if we get a good start and carry the belief from this season through to next then the world is our lobster Rodney.

And before we get odds from the bookies, as they don't include OUFC yet. Wycombe currently favourites..

I'm going for top half finish on the basis it'll be that or better. The only thing I couldn't stomach next season is flirting with relegation for 40 odd games!

Play offs is quite a possibility especially seeing how Exeter did when they went up.

I would be happy with the top half.

There are seven teams who are likely to finish above us:-

Bradford
Chesterfield
The 3 play-off losers
At least 2 of the 4 that just got relegated from Div 3 (think that Southend and Stockport will struggle as they have off-field issues).

Even if I am wrong about that, there is always a surprise package (e.g Rochdale this year) and Northampton and Port Vale will not be rollovers, so 8th or 9th would be a good effort.

Anyway, I don't want to fly up to Div 3 before we are ready, only to come back down to Div 4 again.

The ideal for me would be to go up second season to Div 3 (no more play-offs please), then consolidate in Div 3 and get back to the Championship for start of 2014/15 season.

It won't happen like that I know but surely that is the sensible, ambitous yet sustainable plan?

I just hope nobody mentions the dreaded c-word

C O N S O L I D A T I O N

Aim to consolidate and we could struggle.

I see there is plenty of interesting player movement happening already in Npower League 2.

Not a bad guess, Rage Online Community!!! The wisdom of crowds*

Top half a good solid result, in the end. The only disappointment is the sense that we could maybe have done better with a few performances here and there.

But I think anyone who is genuinely disappointed with 12th place is a bit deluded. League 2 was harder than we expected, but we were competitive and certainly not embarassed. Actually, the biggest disappointment to me was rolling over to measly Burton in the first round of the Cup.

Time to do a 2011-12 poll......

* which is a theory that should be used with means, not modes.......
