It was awful awful news about Oxford United Academy member Godwin Lawson. My thoughts go out to his Family.

Suggestion:

Tomorrow's game is dedicated to Godwin and a minutes silence is held before the game.

Whilst your sentiments are admirable, I don't think tomorrow night is the right time because there is too much at stake and I think a minute's silence would not be observed properly leading to problems.

The home game to Salisbury would appear to be a more suitable occasion.

I think RR's right and a home game is the best place for this, although I can't believe that anyone would knowingly disrupt a minute's silence for Godwin you wouldn't want to give them a chance.

As for the statement on the club website I don't think there's too much more they can say. The incident is subject to an ongoing police investigation, and there are probably several people at the club who were quite close to Godwin, so they have to be careful.

A home game would seem more appropriate.

I would also suggest that Godwin's family should be consulted, they may prefer a minutes applause which to me seems a much better way of celebrating a young man who by all accounts was very positive in his approach to life.

on reflection I think you're all probably right.

Stevenage have got a tough few games ahead of them now, not to mention three are with teams in the top four.

A win appears to be a challenging prospect bearing in mind the last 5 games. But sport is all in the mind. Stranger things have happened. I guess a lot of that is going to be how the manager revs them up before they go on.

Having only been going to Oxford this season I appear to have caught the bug!
