Help required OUFC-heads

Post by recordmeister »

Right. My mate is getting married next Saturday (thus missing the home game v Tamworth :( ) but he is naming his tables at the wedding after things OUFC related. 15 tables. So far we've got this list:

So, 15 tables. May I suggest the following:

The Manor
The Left Side London Road
The Right Side London Road
1986 Milk Cup Final
Joey Beauchamp
Ray Houghton
John Aldridge [most league goals in a season]
Ron Atkinson
Maurice Evans
Ramon Diaz
The Kassam Stadium
Jim Smith
Robert Maxwell
Chris Wilder
Rev John Scott-Tucker [club founder]
Graham Atkinson [record league scorer]
Jim Magilton [most capped international]
Matt Elliott [most expensive player sold]

Which 15 would you choose? Are their any others you can thing of that might be good?

I would leave out Ray Houghton (great player, but didn't join us until we were in D1) and Ramon Diaz (wasn't around long enough) and replace them with Billy Hamilton/Dean Whitehead/Mickey Lewis/Tony Jones.

Novel thing to do though !

You'll need to have the Mike salmon and Steve Anthrobus tables for those who aren't so popular but have to be invited.

Get rid of the K-word for starters! And you've forgotten Beech and Osler, The Brit and The Butchers

Replace the Rev John Scott-Tucker table with the Dr Robert Hitchings table. Young Doc Bob was the club's true founder.

How about the Paul Moody table for the kids who have to be there but are sulking about it?

The Kevin Sandwith table for those who just want a light snack?

The Michael Husbands table for the groom's family?

And the Steve Anthrobus table for those single dudes who keep failing to score?

The Joey Beauchamp table for guests who leave early but you just know will be back again before the end of the night.

The Malcolm Shotton table for those who are the perfect wedding guests throughout the service but come back later in the evening pissed and looking for a fight.
