R&D Pitch

Post by Baboo »

I've just rung Rushden as there is no update on their website.
&quotNo pitch inpsection planned&quot
&quotThe covers are off, it looks OK but is hard in places&quot
&quotThe referee is arriving at midday, you might like to try again then&quot.

So really none the wiser then.

Got as far as Towcester before I heard the inevitable news flash
on Radio Oxford.

Trevor and his wife got to have their lunch at Nene Park however.

I failed to heed the advice given and instead of ringing again &quotafter 12&quot got as far as Irthlingborough nd was walking towards the pub when call from home confirmed another wasted journey. But as the driver for the day told me Radio Oxford had said there was no problem didn't think it was worth another phone call.

When is a pitch inspection not a pitch inspection?

What a nice chap you are Slappy: what time would be convenient to collect me from Basingstoke for the Woking game?

I wasn't able to go today as I worked nights yesterday so I didn't have (another) wasted journey but I feel strangely deflated tonight now that we are no longer top.
