Oxford Away on Tuesday
Oxford Away on Tuesday
Oooo, first test of the new season coming up. I hope the competition is better than the slaughter at this warm up.

Of course it will be. They've got Lee Steele."Snake" wrote:Oooo, first test of the new season coming up. I hope the competition is better than the slaughter at this warm up.
14 goals and no player scored more than 2.

Re:
It is easily forgotten that City are only 3 non league divisions below us, so we shouldn't be expecting a vast gap in playing ability. 3 non league divisions is not the same as Premier v league 2 by any means."Baboo" wrote:Pre season friendlies mean nowt.
Thought Oxford City looked good for their level. Well organised & Lee Steele can still play a bit.
When we bothered to pass it around we looked competent. Second half too much long ball. But as I said pre-season friendlies mean nowt.
As Baboo says, pre-season friendlies mean little, especially the first one.

But not the money we bring to their club. Wonder how many home league games they will need before they have has as many through their turnstile as went through last night?"Swissbloke" wrote: Couldn't quite get over how much they hated us!

Seems like it was indeed better opposition.."Snake" wrote:Oooo, first test of the new season coming up. I hope the competition is better than the slaughter at this warm up.
No wonder Wilder doesn’t want to play them again – especially if all those United fans turn up to watch an away game.
Maybe we’ll have better luck in Morton, where only the weird will be watching, or against Rangers, where no one is allowed to watch.
Roll on York City @ home.
