I just can't see Tim Sills scoring goals
in the FL. Hargreaves, 37 this week, was apparently not been retained
by the Gulls for next season. Cracking finish from him. Cambridge had no real goal threat and seemed to freeze. I bet they will be making major
budget reductions at CUFC this summer. I heard promotion was make or break for them as they really pushed the boat out under Brabin.

Brabin is on his way apparently, Cambridge have given permission for Blackpool to talk to him.

Friday night before anyone else starts as per Barrow in 08/09. You know it's going to happen.

It will be intersting to see if Dennis Strudwick does us any favours when he sets the fixtures by hand again.

i think that torque are the best team in this league (apart from us)so its not a bad thing that they have got out of this league.

I reckon there will be a lot of people who will see Luton as the biggest team in this division next season - so other than when we two play, hopefully it will be they who have to put up with an excess of fixture manipulation and messing around with. Might also happen with AFC Wimbledon, given their back-story. It will also be interesting to see if Luton can beat any of the attendance records we set in our first year down here. And just to be clear, I really dislike the 'biggest team' tag, so I want it to go to Luton. Not that I expect most teams coming to our place to be any less defensive for that.

and in other key games from the end of the season:

* simon king promoted with gillingham at wembley,
* chris hackett misses out with millwall at wembley,
* sam ricketts and dean whitehead stay premiership players with hull and sunderland respectively...

oxford's youth football programme does produce some good players, even if in the past we haven't always got to enjoy their talents for very long. i hope some rage onliners might make a night out of it on friday to come along to the benefit game at minchery and support the future of this.
