UE: Our missing five points float in from the car park on a gentle breezer, are pounced on by Mick Brown who pops them in an envelope, addresses it to BSP HQ and uses a big black marker pen to scrawl RECORDED DELIVERY across the top. After our 5 nil defeat Chris Wilder suggests it is not worth nipping down the Post Office for, particularly as all the local ones have gone the same way as the local lads who used to be in the first team squad.

Lost Youth 2 Not Very Athletic 1
Farrell, Chapman, Hudson-Odoi
4666, 96
The curfew tolls the knell of parting Day,
The lowing hutch winds slowly o'er the Leys,
The constable homeward plods his weary ways,
And leaves the world to darkness and to me.
UE things don't get worse. Things don't fall apart. The centre holds.
