UE: Sam Deering play with only one boot as his dad has had the goalscoring one framed, the crowd is boosted by nearly 100 out-of-work managers (and/or ex-Oxford players of varying abilities who currently work as postmen or van drivers or the like who actually think they could be a manager) and Chris Carruthers scores.

Will any of you be on Oxchat for the game?

1 - 0 Beavon (if he's still there) 1000 250

Weymouth have let so many players go that a sudden bout of diarrohea in the squad causes the club to make a pre match announcement over the tannoy asking if any supporter has bought their boots along with them perchance.

I might manage about five minutes midway through the first half but otherwise I won't be able to.

Weymouth 1-2 Oxford
Beavon - Guy, Wilmott

UE - there are more Oxford fans in the rageonline chat room than actually at the game.

UE: The 12 managers on the shortlist each manage the side for 7.5 minutes on a trial basis. The performances are marked in turn by Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood, Arlene Phillips and Bruno Tonioli and then the contest is opened up to a public vote. Unfortunately David Kemp is on the short list, and during his 7.5 minutes his team concedes 8 (eight) goals. However the public &quotsympathy vote&quot for him in their droves for him and he wins the competition and gets the job.

Whey 2 Kurds 1
Joseph-Dubois (aren't there a lot of double-barrelled players in the Conference?), McPhee Odubade
1,111 155.

McPhee treats the crowd to a rendition of Cherry Red after scoring his goal. Quinn trips over Joseph Dubois' hyphen and severs his ACL. A floodlight failure threatens the game, but Jim gallantly shins up the gantry and lights the ground up with his nose. Then all the reindeer loved him as they shouted out with glee.

Oxford continue where they left off on Thursday with Deering in the hole and quickly establish a 2-0 lead. However, an injury to one of the strikers is a temptation too strong for SMith to resist and he brings on another central defender, who helps steer us to the draw..

2-2 (Mcphee, Beavon // Deering, Guy)
1678

UE - John Hollins turns up but cannot get into the ground as neither set of supporters want him in their part of the ground.
UE2 - Kassam turns up and announces that he has applied for the manager job
UE3 - Patterson appointed Weymouth manager prior to the game

Wey 1 No Way 1
Beavon (being the only player of theirs I can think of) Day
1000 (100)

UE: Oxford manager appointed from the away support, given as they must be really loyal/stupid and will therefore do the job for next to nothing
UE2: Jim falls asleep in the dugout and misses his half-time team talk.

I will endeavour to be in the chat room, subject to access to PC and/or wireless connection not failing.

Weymouth 2 (Beavon, McPhee) Oxfoot 2 (Guy, Odubade). Attendance 1,000. Away crowd 200.

Unexpected event: the match is abandoned due to heavy snow. (It has to happen eventually!)
