Silence is golden...
Doyens of this forum silenced by cup victory. So much easier to vent electronic spleen after a defeat, I guess.
Did anyone go? Would appreciate a measured view from someone.

Nor me, but to be fair we only tend to get a visit from Optimistic Ox when we win, so we won’t hear from him again for a while."Peña Oxford United" wrote:Frankly I don't know why you bother with us."Ascension Ox" wrote:Doyens of this forum silenced by cup victory.
However, I must say I am a bit surprised to see him posting so early in the afternoon, as I had assumed he’d still be sleeping off the hangover from the all night party he must have had with himself last night.

Are you seriously suggesting there is such a thing as an Oxford fan who puts the champagne on ice before the match? I certainly don't know anyone that optimistic."Peña Oxford United" wrote:Surely you chilled the champagne beforehand?"Ancient Colin" wrote:Sorry, been too busy putting out the celebratory bunting and chilling the champagne.

You'd have been posting at 5 a.m. if we'd lost 3-1 though, Mr Prickly."Peña Oxford United" wrote:Frankly I don't know why you bother with us."Ascension Ox" wrote:Doyens of this forum silenced by cup victory.

Hardly. I asked if anyone went last night and if so, what they thought of our performance.

Try not to be an arse, Tim, or I'll ask you to produce an example."Ascension Ox" wrote:You'd have been posting at 5 a.m. if we'd lost 3-1 though, Mr Prickly."Peña Oxford United" wrote:Frankly I don't know why you bother with us."Ascension Ox" wrote:Doyens of this forum silenced by cup victory.
As it happens I didn't even know the result until ten this morning.
Incidentally, you're the one who started the thread. So who's prickly?

Crikey, I was only asking for a view on the game from an attendee!"Peña Oxford United" wrote:Try not to be an arse, Tim, or I'll ask you to produce an example."Ascension Ox" wrote:You'd have been posting at 5 a.m. if we'd lost 3-1 though, Mr Prickly."Peña Oxford United" wrote: Frankly I don't know why you bother with us.

No you weren't "only" doing that Tim. You were being an arse as well."Ascension Ox" wrote:Crikey, I was only asking for a view on the game from an attendee!
