As suspected earlier, the 'scam' includes paying for a trial as a player (requires an unspecified payment via PayPal). When do player trials ever require a fee?

http://www.oxfordcityfc.com/sponsorship/
Sponsor a player for $25,000 for the season. I wonder why OUFC don't charge that sort of rate?

I wonder how much of this would ever get to the club, and how much stays in the grubby mitts of Mr Guerriero?

I'd be interested in the Big Screen sponsorship. $100,000 to have one's name stuck on a 40" plasma in the clubhouse seems a bit steep though....

I fancy applying for a trial via the website and asking how much it would cost without the transportation to and from airport or the transportation to and from training grounds (as I could just get the bus there).

As for the naming of the ground then I'd certainly think about calling it "The Nick Merry Mk II Arena", or maybe "The Firoka Bowl". Or even the "WTF are City up to Stadium".

Dynamo Moscow fans in fact. This is like watching a train crash happening in slow motion. I draw to your attention:

I'd take those review sites with a pinch of salt - all ten reviews, over two different websites, were posted within 48 hours of each other. Which strikes me as strange, and rather suspicious. Almost as if they were all written by the same person.

The last article is more interesting though. And the guy is obviously a massive self-publicising joke. I just hope that his inevitable unravelling (or more likely retreat into obscurity) doesn't damage City too much. Though they would seem to have acted extremely foolishly in getting into bed with him in the first place.

Apparently the City forum has now been cut adrift from the official 'real' OCFC site without an explanation as to who or why?

http://www.oxfordcityfc.proboards.com/t ... city-forum

At least it's still running independently and not just deleting uncomfortable threads.

I find the silence from City quite deafening. So many of us OUFC fans are also very fond of City and a lot of us attend their games.

Surely City Officials should tell us just as to how and why this awful man has come to be President and the whys and wherefore of any agreement entered into etc?

This is becoming extremely embarrassing for City and continued silence will do them no favours.

The first question I would like answered is "Can they get rid of this man NOW....and if so would they be liable for any cost"

Somehow I think they have a tiger by the tail......ye gods!

Following Hog's link and reading through one of the threads, there is a debate 'led' by someone who, having had it pointed out that some United fans have expressed concern about what is going on at City (with more research and information than City fans were producing), suggests we should butt out and be more concerned about our own club and its £6mn of debt. Any attempt by other posters to suggest there is an issue here at all are treated to ridicule and insult. It reminds me of some Notts County fans who, even as the wheels fell off the cart over the Munto Finance debacle were still attacking those who expressed concern over this company for their jealousy...

It appears that for some people out there, asking reasonable questions calmly is tantamount to questioning some peoples' mental capacity, their parentage, or some such. Clearly there is something in this that we are all missing, otherwise why would be asking these questions in the first place...

Jaw-dropping - I have no understanding of the finer points, but I cannot quite believe what I have just read...

....just go straight to Page 10 and read the section entitled "Risks Relating Business and Financial Condition" (there are only 16 listed over five and a half pages) - and ask yourself whether you would touch this with a bargepole... The following is just the first point on the list:

1) Because our auditor has issued a going concern opinion regarding our company, there is an increased risk associated with an investment in our company.

We have incurred cumulative net losses of $4,033,898 since inception to March 31, 2013. We have recurring losses and are dependent upon obtaining financing or generating revenue from operations to continue operations for the next twelve months. As of March 31, 2013, we had cash in the amount of $21,915. Our future is dependent upon our ability to obtain financing or upon future profitable operations. We reserve the right to seek additional funds through private placements of our common stock and/or through debt financing. Our ability to raise additional financing is unknown. We do not have any formal commitments or arrangements for the advancement or loan of funds. For these reasons, our auditors stated in their report that they have substantial doubt we will be able to continue as a going concern. As a result, there is an increased risk that you could lose the entire amount of your investment in our company.

This has to be a joke - If the FA wanted a set of accounts to use an example of how NOT to pass the fit and proper person test, then these would ideal.

Hog, I dont know where you acquired these, but would there be an issue if this link was posted elsewhere?
