In 1971-72, Manchester City were awarded 15 penalties in one season - all of which were scored by Franny Lee, which I think is the Football League record.

But hey, when the National Conference (sponsored by the Nationwide Building Society) becomes Division Five of the Football League I’ll be back with the stats to prove that Oxford United were blessed with some fab referring decisions in the 2006/7 season.
Such a shame that Duffer missed that one last night though. It did not matter in the bigger scheme of things but I do like 100% records.

If the Daggers do slip up, the period where they play 3 games in 6 days might be when they are most vulnerable. All 3 of their opponents might be scrapping to avoid relegation.

I was very surprised they slipped up on Tuesday, but given that they did the next seven days are crucial to the whole race.
We have very winnable games at home to Forest Green and Kiddie, while they only have a trip to St Albans. If we win both, their lead will have halved in the space of a week, moreso if they don't win. That alone could be enough to induce meltdown.
If we can then match their results over the following 7 days (tricky away trips to Alty & Halifax while they are home to Forest GReen & Stevenage) and then beat them at the KasStad on the 26th their lead will have gone completely.
Then again, we could be even further behind by then than we are now...

Daggers are still firm favourites but .....
IF we can win our next home games they will suddenly be under a lot of pressure. 10 points clear- sruising it. When it gets down to 5 points or even less (even if they have a game in hand), it is suddenly not as easy.
We just have to keep winning. Then who knows if Stafford at home will turn into the 2007 version of Crewe away all those years ago.

I don't feel particularly clever myself either, and I'm now firmly in the Daggers will take the title camp.
I heard on Saturday that their ground has passed the FL regs for promotion. I must admit I'm surprised as there didn't seem to be enough seats when we went there (not that I counted them, but I've got a feeling there must be 25% seats or a proportion of tha6 order.

Things can get worse, mind. D&R could in theory lift the Conference Trophy a week on Monday at the Kassam Stadium in front of the Sky cameras and their fans in the North Stand.
