A bit like the York play-off game. When you are a goal behind in a one-off cup match in the 2nd half, you have to chase the game and leave yourself open to breaks on the counter-attack. Also how can the referee and linesman can miss a clear goal, and for the Germans not to put their hands up to admit it is disgraceful and cheating on a par with Maradona and Henry.

At least I got to see a good goal from Tevez later after yet another bad call - though that was harder to see live.

Not many England colours in evidence but the square went wild when England scored (both times), so the answer is they were against Germany.

Interesting.
Would have been a rather differnet reaction in Glasgow methinks.

A policeman? Fleecing a member of the public for some minor infringement, whilst the real baddies get away scot free? Surely not?

Well I was at least. It has something to do with the fact that 'we' were playing the Germans but is also linked to the fact that our own international football team is utter shite and not fit to grace any world event.

That doesn't really narrow it down much...

What do you define as a minor infringement?

If I respond to that, it will turn into a big long debate, and I can't be arsed.

I preferred your previous answer before you edited it out. I was going to turn it into a long debate.

You could just provide a list of minor infringements that the police fleece the public with and let others debate it ...

Yep, that's the main criteria covered. :P
Amazing. Privitizations that Thatcher could only dream of, starting two of the stupidest and bloodiest wars in the history of the human race. Mandleson. Making Alan Sugar a peer. I could go on....

Socialism? Yeah. Right.

Starting? Err, joining in with Bush I could agree with.

Bloodiest? Sorry to seem a bit picky but take a look at this link - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wa ... death_toll

Ah, but being a control freak, I couldn't possibly let an argument go past without putting in my tuppence worth.
