Who in the FL: Redknapp, Ainsworth, McDermott, Hargreaves, Clarke, Westley, others moving up the ladder? .... tho in truth a lot have changed during the season so may hang on for now....
A little look at this, and I'm wondering whether we might see a fairly quiet summer:
- caretakers Giggs (MU), McMahon (Tranmere) & Adams (Norwich) will presumably all be replaced, though Monk (Swansea) and perhaps Ferguson (Blackpool) look safe to continue.
- Rumours of Sherwood departing Spurs refuse to die down, while Lambert at Villa is very tenuous regardless of whether the rumoured takeover happens or not.
- I can see Redknapp leaving QPR if they don't win the play-offs and Wycombe are talking as though it's all change there
- while rogue chairmen may see the end of McDermott (Leeds) and OGS (Cardiff) and perhaps Adkins (Reading). Will Ashley call time on Pardew or dig his heels in?
- for longer shots, perhaps Yates (Cheltenham) and Tisdale (Exeter) may move on 'by mutual consent' after long stints have gone stale?

but beyond those, most clubs have either already changed during the season, have done OK positionally, or don't have the resources to make a change worthwhile, so the likes of Lee Clark (Brum), Gary Johnson (Yeovil), Danny Wilson (Barnsley), Westley (Stevenage), Jackson (Shrews) & Clarke (Bristol R) are probably safer than they might be.

Waddock still 89th
Keep up Snakey....Davies left two days after Waddock appointed, so Brazil is below him in the list, so GW will not move up even when Pearce does takes over.

However, Waddock has now moved up to 84th, but only after this announcement from West Brom: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27357004

Bad me for getting my data from this site! http://www.leaguemanagers.com/managers/ ... rrent.html

I reckon Waddock could be around the 70th to 72nd longest serving manager by the time the new season kicks off. Not bad considering his win percentage so far.

Another 'worst kept secret' confirmed as Sherwood sacked, or 'had the break clause in his contract envoked' as I believe the club put it..

Waddock 81st

James Beattie in 48th place, celebrates a year in charge today...Rodgers, who started off this thread is now 20th.

I lean towards http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_En ... e_managers, for reference rather than the LMA, mainly because it has the actual start dates, rather than month, and also includes caretakers. This latter point is relevant for two reasons: i) the variation in start date if they are subsequently appointed full-time (whereas the LMA list only counts that as day #1) and ii) when clubs take a long time to appoint their new man. Both lists can also be slow at removing departures (Sherwood & Mel are still on LMA, B Ferguson on Wiki)

i) leads to a number of variations, such as GAreth Ainsworth (24th Wiki, 31st LMA) Gary Bowyer (43rd Wiki, 50th LMA), Russ Wilcox, Stuart Gray, Gary Monk etc.
ii) leads to situations where someone like Barry Ferguson or Gary Monk both finished the season in the top 80, even though they both were still technically only caretakers. Guy Whittingham reached something like the 50s in the list as caretaker before actually being officially confirmed.

However, after looking at this over lunch, I've realised that Waddock should be classed as 82nd, due to the overlap at Tranmere between Ronnie Moore being suspended in February and sacked in April. As John Mcmahon was appointed caretaker in February, they technically had two managers in place until Moore was actually sacked, meaning that Waddock therefore actually started at 93rd on the list....

Thanks for that link.

Average per division in years is currently as follows

Div II = 1.86
Div III = 1.62
Div IV = 2.01

Wilder now 78th with an average of 1.55 points per game.

Confirmation of another from the 'worst kept secret' pile - LVG with Giggs as assistant

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27243233

and an appointment at City:
http://nonleague.pitchero.com/news/city ... all-31192/
##

So with Lambert staying at Villa, and pending another board meeting at the Boleyn, it seems we've had all of the end of season sackings now, so its just a matter of the knock-on effect as clubs start to appoint other teams' managers - tho Pochetino is the only working manager topping the betting at present:

Spurs: Pochetino (evens), de Boer 3s, Benitex 6s, Mancini 8s
WBA: Dave Jones/Sherwood/Hughton (all 4s), Hoddle/Mackay 8s, K Downing/B McDermott/Bould next
Norwich: Mackey (odds on), Lennon 5s, Zola 10s
Brighton: Sherwood (evens), hughton/Clement (6s), Mackay 10s, Hoddle/Muelensteen/Howe next
Blackpool: Ricardo Moniz (evens), Coyle 8s, Beattie 9s, O'Driscoll 10s
Tranmere: Ian Brunskill (odds on), J Coleman/J Mcmahon 4s, Kiwomya/Fowler 10s

Soton: Poyet/Petrescu/Mackay/di Matteo (joint favourites)
West Ham: Poyet (evens), Moyes/Mackay/Lennon (6s)
Sunderland: Moyes (4s), Sherwood (5s), Redknapp/Mackay/Laudrup (6s)

In a surprise addition to the list of changes, Jose Riga has announced that he is leaving Charlton as his contract was only until the end of the season and is not being renewed - former Millwall player Bob Peeters, currently manager at Belgian side Waasland-Beveren, is expected to be announced as his replacement this week...
