Where are they now?
Re: Where are they now?
RIP Bill Baker. A staunch trade unionist, Labour party activist and close to my heart in the time I knew and interacted with him. Ok, so he was never any good at football just a long time supporter but he helped to save Oxford United as much as anyone did.

And there were many saying we shouldn't have let him go - it looks like they were wrong. If he can't make the grade in Conference South, then League 2 is surely a stretch.
Re: Where are they now?
Weird - as another one of the senior stadium move decision makers has died in the same week, so another RIP from me (and John Tanner should take extra care crossing a road at this rate)Snake wrote:RIP Bill Baker. Re: Where are they now?
Looking at the picture that accompanies that article I'd say his career in a FGR shirt is going backwards!

Now off to TNS in the Welsh Premier league from the County Times. Interesting that the Welsh FA are able to switch games to different grounds because of unplayable pitches.slappy wrote:He now joins Kidderminster Harriers according to their OWS.slappy wrote:Lee Fowler, OUFC March 2010, returns to the New Lawn at Forest Green Rovers.
