CW also said only one of the signings need a fee (Smalley).
I have also read somewhere, for the life of me I can't remember where, that Leven's salary is being paid for by a sponsor. That would surely exclude it from the budget.

Hi all, my very post! Thought it was about time I came online and joined in rather than sit and and just read!
Leven is a fantastic signing. A midfielder that can pick a pass - our strikers should have a good season!

Great signing, Great Club, Great manager, Great fans and Semi-Great stadium. Oxford Utd is almost perfect without the garden fence! But on a serious note, Peter Leven will be a guaranteed key man for the U's this season and I can easily see us into the play-offs at least. I never thought Stevenage would, but their you go! Leven is decent paced, cracking shot and hard-worker, cant wait!!!

By the way, if it hasn't been mentioned, it's pronounced Previn. Both Jerome Sale and Chris Wilder pronounce it that way.

Andre Previn ?
It's pronounced Lev-EN not Lee-VEN although I've heard both
enunciated on Sky Sports and the BBC.

Will he be playing all of the right passes but not necessarily to the right players - I'll get my coat.

More came from that statement than meets the eye.
