Well, Daggers were second with fourteen points - five points behind the runaways leaders, it's true. Morecambe were struggling though. Exeter I can't tell you exactly (though I know they were sixth) until such time as the relevant Footymad page is available.

Clearly the tables are of limited use this early in the season (but not entirely irrelevant, I think) but you really don't have a lot of basis for claiming we have the best team in the Conference. You can say it, but you've not got much to back it up.
A pundit once said that after 10 games you've got a very good idea of those who would struggle and those that do well. If we win 2 of our next 3 games (which we should do given that we've two home games against beatable teams) I think we'll be up around the play offs which I think is a good indication of where we'll finish.

However, if we can't win both games we'll be mid table, and quite frankly if we can't beat the likes of Weymouth, Woking Crawley and Kettering at home then we'll do no better then mid-table.

Personally I think if we cut out the long ball (which Murray b*llocks the defenders for when they do it - clearly against team instructions) then we should be there or thereabouts.

Most of them write as though they're only old enough to be knee-high to a grasshopper (even some of those that claim to have been supporters for 50 years).

They're actually Nilists, from the Nile Delta, espousing an Alexandrian view on life.

Or possibly Niallists, supporting the Sunderland chairman in his efforts to sell Dean Whitehead.

Or maybe Nyelists, with a Bevanic view on how public health care should be funded.

Jack?

We’re five points away from a place in the play-off lottery and it's only early September.

Yes, jack. Where were Dagenham, Exeter , Morecambe sitting in the table at this stage of the season the years they got promoted? You're as bad as the TIU nihilists. PS I bet Stevenage improve.

On tonight's showing Torquay are going to be nowhere near.
At least no one can accuse you of not being consistent, as you’ve been popping up at regular intervals for years proclaiming that there is no need to panic, while all the time we continue to make OUFC history for being in the lowest position in the pyramid for 50 years.

Meanwhile, the rest of us get accused of something you have to google to find out what it is we are indicted for!

The only time the League Table lies is when we’ve played zero games and it’s sorted in alphabetical order.

TiU (and)
Nihilism, a philosophical position which argues that Being is without objective meaning, purpose, truth, or value.

Interesting that you should choose Wikipedia to define this when Wikipedia is constantly questioned in relation to truth and therefore its value, or was that your point?

Add to Jack that barber’s shop in Bicester, and the bloke who claims to sort out your credit card mess every time a substitution is made.

I just hope the club don’t get so desperate that throw-ins get sponsored by some other cheapskate one man company poncing on our horrible predicament.

Speaking as a cheapskate one-man (plus a few minions) company, I'd say we have as much right to sponsor throw-ins as anyone else.

Blame the club for selling it, not the sponsor for paying and keeping the place alive.

No, I make sure I only get ones with no grasp of English at all. Otherwise they'd read those nasty lying propaganda leaflets about &quotminimum wage&quot and &quotworkers rights&quot. Ugh!
