Yes, my bad, I thought Macca had a contract for an extra year, but was Murray that had been signed for longer."Mooro" wrote:As for Macca, I'm not sure, so if its right then all praise to me, if its wrong then blame the Enforcer for his inaccurate update of the thread for this season (and everyone else for not correcting him)."boris" wrote:I could be wrong (I usually am), but I thought McAllister was only signed until the end of this season.
Trainer has an extra year doesn't he otherwise there would have been mention of an offer or a release?

Plus a few loose ends from the youth end now tied up as well:
Spilman was released at the end of his scholarship period in addition to Posey and Warrell.
Striker Matt Taylor has been offered a one year pro deal.
Centre-Back Luke Bennett (graduated last summer) has been invited back for pre-season, following the injury which ruled him out of the whole of last season.
In addition I am pleased to note that three new scholarships have been awarded to members of last seasons U16 side (although in truth they all featured regularly for the U18 youth team).
The three are: Adam Bowerman (FW/Wide Midfield), Niall Hodgkins (FW) and James Dobson (MF).

If the vast majority of the squad is not assembled by pre-season, some serious questions will need to be asked.

Here are some serious questions that we can ask:"GodalmingYellow" wrote: If the vast majority of the squad is not assembled by pre-season, some serious questions will need to be asked.
- Given the failure of the US to impose a stable democracy in Iraq, who should partner Yemi up front?
The current global food price crisis has led to widespread criticism of the use of inefficient biofuels. Bearing this in mind, should Jeannin be played at left back?
It is now almost indisputable that climate change has been exacerbated by human interference, and that the effects are getting to the stage where they will soon be irreversible. So just who will play wide right?

some serious answers:
historical, cultural, and religious factors all could mean that perhaps democracy simply isn't a political system that will suit iraq. likewise, perhaps a system that plays yemi up front with taylor is a system that won't suit Us. this may not be to do with historical, cultural, or religious factors though, but more to do with the fact that they're both short.
with pasta prices rising, pre-match meals are becoming more expensive. this is going to affect positions such as left back, where a player needs to cover a lot of ground, and so we need players who can get their match fuel from alternative sources. the street price of cocaine is falling, but turley's put this side of his past behind him, so that's him out. i like a nice bowl of porridge before a bike ride, and oats are cheap. conclusion? we should have kept twigg for this position, mainly for reasons of national stereotyping.
are you suggesting that we're reaching the point where we'll see wildly different microclimates across the pitch? we definitely shouldn't play eddie hutchinson wide right then, his head might get burnt in the tropical climes around the touchline.
