Only a matter of time for Jones and Jol, the latter may not even need another game...
Double whammy - Jones gone too. Can't see Wilder being on the shortlist for that one.

Wow, what a day...predict two, get one free - Owen Coyle has been sacked by Wigan after three home defeats in a week

....the latter containing this succinct summary of how some fans feel about it - "Ruined Bolton and now ruined Wigan. Blackburn next and he gets a free car sticker. No-one's done the North-West this much harm since Maggie Thatcher!"
Meanwhile the Mail also suggest that John Gregory is set to be appointed at Crawley, having left his last managerial role in 2011 - at Kazakhstan club side FC Kairat.
Football management, the story that just keeps on giving....

Odds before bedtime:
Pompey: Barker odds on, Wilder 3s, Allen 8s, 16/1 Bar (Awford 20s)
Barnsley: Wilson 4/5, Mellon in to 3s, Redfearn 5s, Appleton 8s, Wilder/Agnew/Phelan/Hignett 16s
Bristol C: Cotterill odds on, Appleton/Pemberton 7s, Saunders/Barker 16s
Crawley: currently not listed - Wilson/Alexander/Cotterill had been favourites - Mail now reporting GRegory now set to get it
SCunthorpe: currently not listed - tho Russ Wilcox, who has been confirmed as caretaker until the New Year, is odds on with 20/1BAr him
Sheff Weds: currently not listed - tho early odds after Jones departure had Stuart Pearce 3s, di Canio 6s, Holloway/Cotterill & Sven at 16s
Wigan - Holloway evens, Phelan/Jewell 8s, di Canio 20/1, Robinson 25/1 33/1 Bar

The Daily Mail piece on Owen Coyle's sacking is interesting in that it reports
that the possible favourites for the Sheffield Wednesday job include both Steve Evans
and Steve Cotterill.
I wonder who would be among the favourites to succeed Evans at Rotherham were he to depart?

Don't know why, but I have a feeling that Barnsley is the one we need to worry about....long shot for them maybe, but stranger things have happened (and he will sort their defence out).

Tea-time Odds :
Pompey: Barker odds on, Wilder 4-6s, Allen 8s, 16/1 Bar (Awford 20s)
Barnsley: Wilson 4/5, Mellon in to 3s, Redfearn/Appleton 5s Wilder in to 7s
Bristol C: Cotterill odds on, Appleton/Pemberton/Tisdale/Barker 10-12s, Wilder not listed
Crawley: currently not listed - Wilson/Alexander/Cotterill had been favourites - Mail now reporting GRegory now set to get it
SCunthorpe: Russ Wilcox odds on, Megson/Allen/Cotterill/O'Leary/Wilder all at 25s (PaddyPower has CW at 16s, rest at 20s)
sheff Weds: Warnock/Cotterill 2-4s, Appleton/Pearce/di Canio/Evans 6-8s, caretaker Stuart Gray 12s, Wilder appears at 25s
Wigan - Phelan evens, Holloway 2s, Jewell/ Graeme Jones/Karl Robinson 10s, Wilder not listed
Still think Pompey are a red herring and Barnsley (if any) the only one to watch, and even then only as an outside chance....

....and Steve Cotterill appointed at Bristol City too
Evans is now odds on at the Bookies for Sheff Weds, which does raise the spectre of Wilder to Rotherham (Warnock and Pearce next up)
Wilder now 4th in line at Barnsley having edged ahead of Redfearn, but behind Wilson, Mellon & Appleton
Wigan sees Mike Phelan top, ahead of Holloway, Jewell, GRaeme Jones & Karl Robinson
and Pompey still see Barker odds on, but Tisdale now joining Wilder at 6/1 second favourites.....
....and the OM are reporting that Wilder HAS gone for talks today - we watch and wait

Barker (as predicted) all set to take Portsmouth post. BAU at OUFC and ECFC, as I'm sure all involved assumed it would be.
Rosler given permission to talk to Wigan, potentially leaving Brentford looking for a new man.
Brentford therefore likely to be looking for a new man, with early leader Jimmy-floyd Hasselbaink! Wilder joins Millen/Appleton/Mellon/Holloway on about 10/1
Sheff Weds have ruled out Warnock, based on fan pressure, which (to a much lesser extent) may put an end to Wilder's long shot chance of that one.
A good start for Mellon as caretaker sees him on short odds for Barnsley Evens-2/1, Wilson/Appleton/Redfearn 3-5/1, Wilder now back out to 16s.
Similar story at Sheff Weds sees Stuart Gray at 3s, with Evans/Pearce/Ince/Appleton & Phelan at 5-6/1
No odds for Southport as yet - well there may be, I just haven't bothered looking.
