Your preoccupation with the scum does you no credit young man.
'Oop the Warriors!'
Sorry, Eric, but I have to post the following report regarding a former Slumdon boss, who is now also a former Sunderland boss.....

Pity the next chap into the role trying to bring together 14 strangers he's probably never heard of into a team....!
Early leaders at bookies are Di Matteo and Poyet, with McLeish and Pulis as more sober choices..

Derby County tonight sack Nigel Clough the current 4th
longest serving manager behind Wenger, Tisdale
and Chris Wilder.

And who the hell saw that one coming? Maybe his availability will speed the departure of Weir at Sheffield United. Or Jones at Wednesday.

Well the first week of October normally sees the managerial merry-go-round
go into overdrive.
Guy Whittingham under big pressure at Portsmouth could lose his job soon
along with Sean O'Driscoll at Bristol City, David Weir at Sheffield United
and Chris Kiwomya at Notts County.
David Jones at Sheffield Wednesday is another name of course under pressure
as Dr Bob says.

Typical, away for the weekend and out of left field comes Cloughies P45....and before I even get to log in on the way back McLaren is in to replace him, with Paul Simpson as assistant!

Newcastle 3 down after 38 minutes. Add Pardew to those under threat.

Sunderland odds - Poyet 6/4, Pulis 4, Ball 6, Rangnick 10, Murat Yakin(currently at FC Basel) 16
Next to go
- Prem: Jol 4/6, Pardew 2, Hughton 12
- Champ: mowbray 5/4, Flitcroft 8, Freedman 10, Jones 12, 25 Bar
Odds to replace managers in trouble:
Fulham - Poyet 2, O'Neill 3, Meulensteen 7 (Stoke h)
Toon - Poyet 3, Kinnear 8, Lee Clark 10 (Cardiff a)
Boro - O'Neill 6, Poyet 8 Clough 8 (Yeovil h)
Barnsley - Michael Appleton 3, 20/1 Bar (QPR a)
Bolton - Pulis 6, Coyle 10, Clough 12 (Birmingham a)
Sheff W - Pulis 7, Karl Robinson 12, Ince 12, (Ipswich h)
Millwall - Neil Harris 2, Robinson/Sherwood 16
Looking at that lot, I'd say anything but a win for Boro and Mowbray will be gone; Jol's departure seems inevitable, and while Barnsley and Bolton might be more patient, Dave Jones is on borrowed time...

Poyet gets the nod at Sunderland - interesting to note he has spent the season so far watching all the Prem clubs most likely to sack their managers first
Most of those under threat before the weekend got results of some degree, so maybe another couple of weeks before the next axe falls....

At 50-1 with Skybet for 'no manager to leave' it's a tempting bet given the weird results in Division I this season..

Even at 50/1 I wouldn't put anything on that Snake. By Christmas I would expect that at least one will be off and probably more. With the extra TV money anybody near the bottom will be under real pressure and one or 2 Chairmen will be getting nervous.

So will he - or won't he go this time?

Will they want him? If he's offered it I'm sure he'll go. Has he demonstrated enough qualities to stand out in the list of likely applicants? I don't know enough about the particular circumstances at Brammall Lane to have an opinion on that. There obviously wouldn't be so much compensation to pay now if they did want him.

Mmm, Wilder to replace Weir this time (for those that aren't keeping up) - I'd say less likely, if anything, some of his good ol fashioned stubbornness will keep him here to prove he did get the squad right........
More to the point, I would imagine the Sheffield owners are looking for a higher profile name to spend their money. Without looking at the odds, I reckon they might be looking to get someone with Premiership management experience, perhaps a year or three back maybe, but still a 'name' rather than a 'potential name'.
Anyway, I've now looked at the odds and top is Nigel CLough (4/6), then Russell SLade, Richie Barker & caretaker Chris Morgan. More interesting, given the above is maybe Tony Pulis or Stuart Mccall. Wilder is 33/1 alongside PDC (would they?), Paul Jewell & Sven.......
