One or two positions likely to be filled in the next few days:
Mike Appleton expected locally to get the nod ahead of Paul Dickov for Doncaster - press conference 4pm today
Colin Cooper expected to take Hartlepool job any day now.
Sheff Utd continue interviewing with Karl Robinson now favourite, from Southgate, Chris Morgan &amp Mccall - you can now get 40/1 on Wilder...

Elsewhere:
Tim Sherwood now going head to head with Gary Bowyer at Blackburn, so they'll probably appoint the tea lady.
Steve mclaren current favourite at Millwall, from Richard Shaw &amp Gary Johnson. Early favourite Marc Bircham now joint fourth with Messrs Dowie &amp Lomas.
Mclaren also second favourite for Wolves job, behind Kenny Jackett. Bookies guessing on this one a bit, with likes of Warnock, MCleish and Coyle next up.
Martinez still leads race for everton, from Phil Neville, Neil Lennon &amp Alan Stubbs.

Poyet suspended by Brighton over ' poo-gate', which has alerted bookies, with him topping the list for a few jobs that havent quite come up yet - 3/1 Cardiff, 1/2 Fulham &amp 6/1 Soton. Roberto di MAtteo favourite to take over from him if he does leave.

Now season finally over, I wonder whether any more managers are still to bite the dust, beyond the ones we already know about......?

For some reason Doncaster Rovers have today decided to appoint
Paul Dickov as the club's new manager.

One has to ask why?

Seems a lot of Oldham fans had a lot of good things to say about him, 'plays it the right way, good contacts, etc'.

Also saves having to re-advertise it in two months when Appleton leaves....

Amazingly, Mark hughes is current favourite for the Stoke job - surely any of the next names on the list (Di Matteo, Rafa, Poyet, Martinez, even Phil Neville) would be a better choice.
Lancashire Telegraph reports Blackburn finally ready to announce Gary Bowyer will take over permanently,
Stuart Mccall now odds on for the Blades, after they asked motherwell for permission to speak to him,
Everton list wide open, MArtinez still top but Pereira, Stubbs, Mackay, Lennon &amp Poyet all in attendance,
Things not looking too rosy at Millwall, with the choice seemingly Steve Mclaren, Dennis wise or Richard Shaw,
Steve Davis from Crewe tops list for Wolves, from Mclaren, Jackett &amp Keith Downing,

No comment from Brighton re: Poyet's future, though Arry is current favourite to take over if he does go.

I think that's a tad harsh, Di Matteo, Benitez, Poyet and Martinez have all shown themselves to be good managers but so is Hughes. So the first half of 2012/13 before he got the sack was very bad, but in the second half of 2011/12 he kept a QPR team that were on the slide up, with a better PPG in the Prem than Warnock had managed.

And in all his jobs previous to QPR (Wales, Blackburn, Man City, Fulham) I'd argue he was successful, and was only sacked once - at Man City which was very harsh imo anyway.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22511287
Colin Cooper confirmed at Hartlepool

MArtinez still ahead at Everton, from Pereira, Lennon, Solskjear, Mackay & Stubbs
Hughes meanwhile still about evens for Stoke, from RDM, Poyet, Rafa & Martinez
In the Championship, the wait for Gary Bowyer goes on.......and on......and on at Blackburn
Millwall deny any approach for favourite Mrcus Babbel, or that a decision is imminent - Mcleish, Wise and Mclaren next in the list, so perhaps supporters might wish that an approach for Mr Babbel is soon forthcoming.
Wolves favourite Steve Davis denies being approached, with Coyle, Jackett and Mclaren next in the list.
Mccall still odds on for Sheff Utd, with Motherwell having been approached. The only other name given a chance by the bookies is Karl Robinson, who has this lunchtime pledged himself to MK Dons for the rest of his contract.
Former Charlton defender Steve Brown is expected to replace Liam Daish at Ebbsfleet once the Kuwaiti takeover is finalised.

Which is exactly what McCall did two days before Motherwell announced the approach from the Blades!

Stick me a fiver on "MK Dons give Robinson permission to talk to Sheffield Utd" for Tuesday's headline...

Martinez apparently set to choose between Wigan and Everton (!) on Tuesday...would have thought he would have to take it, otherwise no amount of talking up by Whelan will prevent his stock falling. His #2 Graeme Jones remains frontrunner to take over at the DW.
Others in the frame for Goodison are: Lennon, Solskjear, Pereira, Mckay and internal candidates Weir and Stubbs...

Mccall clear favourite at Brammal Lane,
STeve Lomas has joined Marcus Babbel at the head of the race for the Millwall job, Alex Mcleish third on the list
Jackett, Steve Davis and Coyle in the battle for Wolves, Mclaren next up
Hughes remains top of the pile for Stoke, MON moving up, with RDM & Poyet also still in the race.
Poyet also being tipped to replace Jol at Fulham...

Mccall has now turned down the Sheffield job, which puts caretaker Chris Morgan back at the top of the pile.

Meanwhile Rafa has quickly been snapped up by Napoli, which takes him off the list for Stoke I suppose

Seems a lot is set to happen in the next few days:

So, MArtinez has finally taken the plunge and left Wigan, and is being regarded as a shoo-in for the Everton job - time will tell whether he is up to it!
His #2 Graeme Jones is currently favourite to replace him, with Rene Meulensteen (first team coach at Man U under Fergie, but apparently set to leave rather than stay under Moyes) next up. Usual suspects also featuring - Coyle, Pearce, Weir, Poyet & Solskjear...
Hughes expected to be appointed at Stoke this week,
Fans preference Coyle now favourite for Wolves ahead of Jackett,
Caretaker Chris Morgan leads Jackett & Wally Downes in race for Sheffield Utd
while current St Johnstone boss Steve Lomas odds on to swap Perth for Millwall - sure he'll barely notice the difference

What has happened while we have been away:
Hughes has been confirmed at Stoke, despite a fan driving around the city with a Hughes Out poster on the back of his van,
and Jackett has been installed as Head Coach at Wolves, to roughly the same amount of enthusiasm from the locals.

It appears MArtinez, Pereira and Ralf Rangnick were the three invited for second interviews at Everton,
Steve Lomas still favourite for Millwall, although St Johnstone claim they have not been officially approached. Steve Kean second favourite!!
Former Watford player Robert Page favourite for Sheff Utd, with Michael Appleton now second favourite!!
Steve Mclaren favourite for Wigan from Owen Coyle, (former 1st team coach at MUFC) Rene Meulensteen, with Martinez's #2 Graeme jones drifting to 4th favourite!

And Poyet still suspended at Brighton, with Phil Neville seemingly top of the list to get the job if he goes....
