New future, New kit
Re: New future, New kit
Avec have been around for some time - these kits were produced between 1995-1997
for Sunderland and Sheffield United.

Re: New future, New kit
Avec website confirms that they are to produce their own teamwear range. So it could be, like Nike, a choice from standard templates rather than a bespoke design.
Looking around at Avec designs; Palace had a yellow and blue away kit: link.
And Darlington supporters are getting to choose their Avec shirt, between one standard and two bespoke designs, for next season: link.

Re: New future, New kit
Ooh, I'd like that first Darlington kit if it was yellow/navy on the front and all yellow on the back - we haven't had anything like that in living memory! In fact any of those 3 would look okay (in the appropriate colours!) as they appear to be one colour on the back.

I rather like the Palace kits (if done in dark yellow and navy for home and white with purple trim for the away of course).

The U's Kit launch tonight
Hope we don't get a yellow and navy version of this design.

Great shout!Myles Francis wrote:Next season's away kit will be predominantly white with purple trim. I understand that the purple could well become a feature for our away kit for some time to come. Purple also happens to be Wigan Warriors change kit too...

Re: New future, New kit
not a fan of the new kit the yellow to me is too wishy washy and the blue hoop is just for the sponsors name to stand out
Re: New future, New kit
It's nicer than the Nike kits, that's for sure. I'd prefer it if the blue on the arms was in line with the chest hoop, and the yellow is veering dangerously towards 'lemon' but that's about it.
The away kit is gorgeous.

Looking at the club youtube channel - which I did for the interview with Eales & Co - I wonder whether the new sponsors are going to be the "New Driveway Company" as endorsed by Max Crocombe....?
Might explain the single band across teh shirt

Re: New future, New kit
I hope not.
A nice shirt would be enhanced with a one word sponser name, not a sentence.
Beer bellies are going to be enhanced by the positioning of the band above!

Well we've unveiled our home shirt sponsor. And rather bizarrely Black n Rounds do not appear to have a web presence! Although there is an established tyre company called Round and Black, who are presumably unrelated.
Though I have found some company information for them and some of the directors are rather familiar:

You'd have thought the sponsorship announcement might have mentioned the connections! Not very transparent, is it?
