On the reception of returning players, it usually depends on the manner of their departure. When Green, for example, left the first time - to Torquay after a verbal agreement had allegedly been made - reactions were ambivalent at best, hostile at worst. My own reaction was somewhere towards the later.

This time, Green leaves rehabilitated and a Wembley hero. I wish him all the best in the future.

Don't think that's fair. What evidence is there that he didn't care less? I'd say all the evidence pointed to the opposite!

On the issue of Matt Green, I can live with it if it paves the way for Robert Hall to stay until the end of the season (or longer).

Yes, exactly my point Joey Toey - was speculating a list of possibles, a la Devil's Advocate. Agree no evidence at all - over-riding message of my post was that I wish he'd only been loaned - could recall him now if he had!
