The GOF informed FOUL in a meeting in Oxford the total sum of money they had. It would have be able to cover the club for 1 season at the Manor. No more.

It was this lack of money that was clearly the issue with the GOF. The GOF was based on the hope and goodwill of local business. The Taxman would have ripped us apart within 18months.
Absolutely - Jim R is not a business man. They had no plan to relocate from the Manor. Unbelievably there were some who genuinely believed we had a future at the Manor.
I hate to think where we would be now if it had been the GoF - not saying that they didn't mean well in their own way though. If the hope and goodwill of local business had been the answer the club would not have gotten into the mess it did in the first place.

Remember the Milk Cup celebration meal 5 years ago when JR with microphone in hand stated that &quotthose in FOUL were not true supporters&quot. Perhaps those that stayed away for years were not true supporters, but hey this is all in the past now. Jim's a director and the club are moving forward with a manager and chairman we believe in, playing in a ground fit for purpose (shame there's an end missing) built by and owner by FK. That's about the size of it.

What next ?

It begs the question that if they had enough dosh in 1999 then why didn’t the GoF step in before Lenagan did when the club was up for sale for £2m five years ago?

Shame no one asked that at the Q&ampA, though the answer would probably be the same as when Jim was asked how much he had put into the club recently...
