This is the Sodje who, shall we say, utilised the support provided by York City to get UK residency then promptly fucked off to Barnsley.

it would, i suppose, make a nice change to have a sodje score for us.

I'm going to trust Chris Wilder's judgement on this signing, but I am not exactly leaping for joy.
I don't really rate Sodje from what I have seen of him - 3 or 4 times playing for Ebbsfleet and York - and York fans (not just one or two either) think he is lazy and a bit of a show pony.
But I can accept an argument that he will supplement what we already have and let us hope that his alleged negative personality traits don't spoil the undoubted spirit that we have in the squad.

You're right about the York fans view of him but as I recall his goals per game record is quite impressive. If that is the case then his attitude must be really bad for everybody to forget his goals and only remember his temperament.

I also have to be a honest and admit that I am a bit prejudiced against him because I 'dislike intensely' his uncle Efe, who I see is now plying his trade for Bury. Cheating bastard.
I know that is childish, but there we are.

Wasn't there a Sodje that tried to get Moody sent off?

Yep - Efe.
And I think it was Julian Alsop, because Efe injured himself in the process and had to be stretchered off. Allegedly, Alsop offered the stretcher-bearers £20 each to 'drop the cheating c**t' on their way off the pitch.
So Alsop wasn't all bad.

This is terrific news as it allows us to steal the best football song ever and make it our own...all together now...

Francis Green
We need another Green to cover for Matt while he's off sick.

Interestingly enough (although this should be on another thread) Matt and Francis Green are the only two players in our history to share that surname......

Is this signing as much about denying Kettering a key player as it us providing us with a SIXTH striker? Looks like 4-3-3 is here to stay anyway.

Even more interesting is that the one Green was brought in to cover for the other Green and we play Forest Green Rovers tonight and Matt Green's first game as a sub was also against Forest Green Rovers.
